Program Director

General Description

The Program Director oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of an ongoing program including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.

Job Requirements (Performs other work related duties as assigned by immeadiate supervisor)

• Provide leadership through the supervision department managers in terms of direction, input, feedback and role modeling
• Planning and directing the delivery of services in accordance with company and contractual guidelines
• Ensure that the duties of this position are performed in accordance with contract, ACA, licensure, and corporate standards
• Hiring, developing and supervising personnel qualified to meet performance expectations
• Organizing resources and establishing goals and objectives to achieve desired outcomes
• Establishing and maintaining a productive relationship with contracting agency and community representatives
• Generating accurate, complete and timely reports as required by the company and contracting agencies
• Understanding, enforcing and monitoring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Being responsible for appropriate inter/intra agency communications at all levels
• Maintaining acceptable attendance and meet all physical requirements
• Required to perform all assigned ACA related duties
• Required to attend ACA and other assigned or mandatory training classes in accordance with Kintock training policies
• Accepting other work related duties assigned by the Site Administrator

  Qualifications/Skill Requirements

  Five years of professional experience in social work, including two years of experience in a correctional institution with one year in a supervisory or managerial position or an equivalent combination of work and academic experience in the field of criminal justice, including two years’ experience; one of which was in management and evidence of satisfactory performance.

  Knowledge:

  Modern correctional principles and practices as they relate to community corrections; Individual and group behavior as related

  to persons with criminal backgrounds; Correctional institution management and operation, and Availability and procedure for accessing support services.

  Abilities:

  Plan and organize resources to meet contract requirements;

  Prepare and present accurate reports; Establish and maintain working relationships with criminal justice officials and community leaders; Communicate effective with all levels of the organization;

  To attain security clearance from the DOC, PAROLE and the BOP;

  Delegate, review and evaluate the work of assigned staff; and Supervise effectively.

  Education Requirements

  This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a social science and five (5) years of related experience, including three years in a highly organized large organization with two or more years in mid to upper level management; or an acceptable equivalence of relevant work and academic including five years of managerial experience. An understanding of the relationship between the contracting agencies and the company regarding issues of public safety, accountability and rehabilitation of offenders is helpful.
