    Overview

    Are you interested in gaining meaningful experience in a growing environment?

    Manitoba Public Insurance is currently accepting applications for rural adjusting opportunities on a term basis. As an adjuster, you will acquire the skills necessary to adjust to all types of physical and property damage claims. In addition to investigating, assessing, negotiating and settling claims, you will advise customers on available benefits, liability surcharges and merit/discount programs.

    Opportunities may arise at various locations throughout the province such as Brandon, Steinbach, Thompson, The Pas, Selkirk, Dauphin, Winkler and Portage La Prairie. So be sure to indicate which location(s) interest you in our rural locations.

    Responsibilities

    • Represent Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) in the handling of insurance claims by providing exceptional customer service. This will include handling physical and property damage claims, including confirming coverage, assessing, negotiating and settling claims.
    • Discuss benefits, coverage, liability, Driver Safety Rating impacts and claim settlement with customers.
    • Respond to public inquiries and customer concerns as required.
    • Communicate with customers, witnesses, third parties and other business partners, in a timely manner, by telephone, written correspondence and in person.

    Qualifications

    To be considered for an adjuster opportunity, you must have:

    Education & Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Three years of general office, customer service or call centre experience.

    OR

    • Two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution.
    • One year of general office, customer service or call centre experience.

    Technical Knowledge and Skills

    • Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.
    • Must have a valid 5F driver’s licence.
    • Must have access to a personal vehicle.
    • Must be willing and able to travel, as required.
