This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on daily operations while helping drive improvements that support our customers and the overall success of the business.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Lead, coach, and develop logistics and warehouse personnel to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and service goals.
    • Ensure timely and accurate shipment of customer orders.
    • Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and process improvements.
    • Develop, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics operations.
    • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with carriers, vendors, and customers.
    • Negotiate carrier rates and services to reduce transportation costs while maintaining appropriate service levels.
    • Analyze logistics metrics, including freight costs, on-time delivery performance, inventory accuracy, and labor productivity.
    • Lead continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives throughout logistics and supply chain operations.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, company safety policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Investigate shipping discrepancies, freight claims, and service failures and implement corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Accounting to improve operational efficiency and service.
    • Manage budgets and control logistics-related expenses.
    • Oversee warehouse organization, cleanliness, and proper material-handling practices.
    • Support recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development efforts.
    • Participate in strategic planning and capacity forecasting for warehousing and transportation operations.
    • Administer and resolve customer and retailer chargebacks by investigating root causes, coordinating corrective actions with cross-functional teams, disputing invalid deductions when appropriate, and implementing process improvements to reduce future chargebacks.
    • Assist with unloading containers and other hands-on warehouse activities as needed.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience will be considered.
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain operations preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
    • Previous supervisory or management experience required.
    • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, transportation management, and freight carrier processes.
    • Proficiency with ERP systems; experience with Sage preferred.
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
    • Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
    • Ability to regularly walk warehouse floors and remain active throughout the workday.
