Material Handler in Huron, OH
Starting pay: $19.52 + 1.00 shift differential.
Shift: 3rd SHIFT- Sunday through Wednesday, 9 pm-7 am. Occasional overtime required for this role- You will train on 1st shift for the first 6-8 weeks. This is a requirement for this role.
Full–Time Benefits and Bi-Weekly pay.
The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Material Handler responsible for receiving raw materials as they enter the facility, including transfers within the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming raw materials by unloading trailers and verifying quantities, condition, and accuracy of shipments
- Unload bulk materials from tank wagons into designated storage tanks
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), including forklifts, to move pallets, totes, drums, and other materials
- Use inventory management systems to receive, move, and track raw material inventory
- Perform cycle counts and assist with investigations to maintain inventory accuracy
- Stage materials in advance to support upcoming production needs
- Maintain accurate inventory and movement records using RF scanners and computer systems
- Keep work areas clean and organized and perform basic equipment inspections
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 with a High School Diploma or GED
- Prior material handling or forklift experience preferred
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn SAP and inventory systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs occasionally
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a team
