SEOs will represent UVA with professionalism and enthusiasm, helping to build lasting relationships and secure philanthropic support.

This is a forward-facing fundraising and engagement role within University Advancement’s Office of Engagement. A typical shift includes calling, emailing, texting, and meeting virtually with potential or current donors. SEOs will travel across Grounds to create personalized short-form engagement content. Within your cohort of SEOs, you’ll learn and discuss outreach strategies and review prospect interactions.

This position offers a unique opportunity to develop professional skills, contribute to the University’s mission, and make a lasting impact on the UVA community.

    • Represent UVA at University events and partner initiatives.

    Data Management & Reporting

    • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to University policies regarding donor data.

    Qualifications:

    • Current full-time UVA student in good academic standing.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Comfortable with sharing your UVA experience through phone, video, and digital communication platforms.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Passion for UVA and its mission of education, research, and service.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Creative storytelling or content creation experience.
    • Experience in customer service, fundraising, or peer leadership roles.
    • Familiarity with CRM systems or donor databases.
