Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Underground Shift Supervisors to join our operations at Evolution Mining's Lake Cowal Underground Gold Mine in New South Wales. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced underground miner to drive safe and productive mining activities while mentoring and leading high-performing crews.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As an Underground Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading underground mining crews to safely achieve development and production targets. You will provide hands-on leadership, coordinate daily mining activities, and ensure compliance with site procedures, statutory requirements and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise underground mining crews across development and production activities
• Coordinate daily work plans to achieve production and development targets
• Ensure all underground activities are conducted safely and in accordance with site procedures
• Conduct pre-shift meetings, workplace inspections and safety interactions
• Monitor workforce performance and provide coaching and mentoring to team members
• Manage workplace hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Liaise with engineering, maintenance and technical teams to coordinate underground activities
• Investigate and report incidents, hazards and operational issues
• Maintain accurate shift reports and production records
• Drive a strong safety culture and positive team environment

Qualifications

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Significant underground hard rock mining experience in a supervisory or leading hand capacity
• Demonstrated experience overseeing underground development and/or production crews
• Strong leadership, communication and people management skills
• Sound understanding of underground mining operations and statutory requirements
• Commitment to safety leadership and operational excellence
• Current NSW Underground Shift Supervisor Ticket (Compulsory)
• Relevant mining competencies, licences and qualifications
• Current Australian work rights
• Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements
