Immediate opening available for a part-time personal trainer!
The Risher Companies is looking for a part-time Certified Personal Trainer to join our dynamic team at the Brushy Lake Fitness Center located in Sienna.
The primary job duties will include the following:
- Provide personal evaluations and consultations to clients on their fitness level by reviewing their abilities, physical condition, and overall health to ensure that all fitness plans are suitable.
- Independently lead both individual and group training sessions.
- Design and market programs to various demographics.
- Create personalized fitness routines that assist clients in reaching their fitness goals while remaining suitable to their current physical abilities.
- Teach clients the proper techniques for all exercises, especially when using more complicated equipment, to minimize the risk of injury.
- Explain exercises in detail and be able to provide alternative exercises if needed.
- Monitor clients on their status and make any necessary changes to their fitness plans to ensure their goals are met
- Enforce all gym policies and safety rules to reduce the chance of any accidents and to maintain a safe and comfortable environment in which clients can exercise.
- Explain the safe and proper use of gym equipment.
- Teach and substitute for fitness classes/programs if needed
- Clean and maintain fitness equipment to ensure a sanitary and clean environment for our residents
Preferred Applicant Requirements (education, skills, licenses, etc.)
- 2+ years of work experience in a customer service environment
- Current Personal Training Certificate (NSCA, NASM, ACE, etc.).
- High School Education/G.E.D. or equivalent.
- Current certificate in CPR/AED and First Aid.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills
- Well-groomed and professional fitness appearance
