    Job description

The Rudolph Libbe Group is a leading, full-service provider of construction and facility solutions headquartered in Walbridge, Ohio. Founded in 1955, RLG operates as a single-source partner for clients across diverse industries, offering expertise in construction management, design-build, energy solutions, and ongoing facility maintenance.

Our organization is comprised of multiple companies working together as one team. This integrated structure allows us to deliver everything from site selection and financing to construction, renovation, and long-term facility management, ensuring seamless service and exceptional results. At RLG, we pride ourselves on a safety-first culture, collaborative approach, and commitment to quality, making us one of the top contractors in the nation.

Rudolph Libbe Inc. is searching for a Project Scheduler to join our growing Project Controls team.

At Rudolph Libbe, our projects are consistently delivered faster than industry norms because we invest in planning, communicating effectively, and we execute with discipline. Scheduling is a collaborative process, not simply maintaining software. Our Project Schedulers are integral members of the project team, partnering with project managers, superintendents, owners, and trade partners to develop realistic plans, anticipate challenges, and provide the insight needed to successfully deliver projects.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical scheduling skills with a practical understanding of construction operations, data analysis, communication and team collaboration. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex commercial and industrial construction projects while helping shape how projects are planned, monitored and executed across the organization.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

-Develop, maintain, and analyze detailed Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules throughout all phases of construction using Primavera P6.

-Partner with preconstruction, project managers and superintendents to capture realistic work plans, sequencing, durations, and constraints.

-Facilitate collaborative schedule development and update meetings that help project teams align around priorities, production expectations, and upcoming work.

-Monitor schedule quality and health to ensure schedules remain complete, accurate, reliable, and aligned with company standards and industry best practices.

-dentify schedule risks, float erosion, and emerging constraints early enough to allow project teams to implement mitigation strategies before project milestones are impacted.

-Analyze progress, variances, productivity trends, and schedule logic to ensure the project schedule accurately reflects field reality.

-Support self-perform teams in developing production based schedules using measurable production rates and realistic crew assumptions.

-Develop and maintain resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules when appropriate to support forecasting, planning, and project controls reporting.

-Support Earned Value Management (EVM) implementation, analysis, and reporting on applicable projects.

-Prepare clear schedule updates, narratives, and visual reporting that communicate project status, risks, and recommended actions.

-Support reliable three-week look-ahead planning by aligning short-term planning with the overall project schedule and upcoming constraints.

-Facilitate schedule recovery planning and develop actionable mitigation strategies that protect project milestones and client commitments.

-Support schedule impact analysis related to change events, delays, resequencing, and recovery efforts.

-Visit project sites as needed to validate progress, understand field conditions, and strengthen the accuracy of schedule forecasts.

     SKILLS

-Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling principles, schedule logic, and schedule risk analysis.

-Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

-Knowledge of resource loading, cost loading, forecasting and Earned Value Management (EVM).

-Understanding of commercial, industrial, and manufacturing construction means, methods, sequencing, and typical project constraints.

-Ability to analyze complex project information and translate it into clear recommendations for project teams and leadership.

-Strong facilitation, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

-Ability to build credibility with project managers, superintendents, field leaders, owners, and trade partners.

    -Open to AI adoption

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

-Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred.

-A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction scheduling, project controls, project management, or a related role.

-Commercial, industrial, and manufacturing construction scheduling experience preferred. Self-perform construction scheduling experience a plus.
