About Philadelphia Social Service Ministries: Philadelphia Social Service Ministries (PSSM) is the collection of social services programs that the Salvation Army provides in Philadelphia. These programs include family emergency housing, anti-trafficking, and permanent housing for seniors and chronically homeless adults.
Description of Position:
The Day Camp Counselor’s role is to provide a safe, fun, and caring environment for children enrolled in the Summer Day Camp program. Counselors are responsible for leading the group of children in assigned activities and implementing procedures. The Day Camp Counselor supports the Learning Zone & Day Camp Coordinator, the Music & Arts Specialist, and the Recreation Specialist in creating and developing weekly programming for the youth participants. The Day Camp Counselor serves as a chaperone during off site field trips.
