You guide families through important end-of-life planning with empathy, care, and professionalism at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
In this role, you serve as a trusted advisor who helps clients secure peace of mind by presenting pre-planning options for cemetery spaces, memorials, and final arrangements.
You play a vital role in easing the burden on grieving families while achieving location sales goals and strengthening community relationships.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Connects with families through compassionate active listening to understand their unique wishes and needs.
- Presents customized pre-planning solutions through effective sales and B2C sales techniques, ensuring families make informed decisions.
- Builds lasting relationship management by following up with clients and providing exceptional customer service before, during, and after need.
- Negotiates and finalizes agreements with confidence, ensuring clarity and transparency for every client.
- Utilizes CRM software to track leads, manage client interactions, and maintain accurate daily records.
- Manages daily schedules efficiently through strong time management to balance appointments, administrative tasks, and outreach.
- Represents the park at community events using public speaking skills to educate the public on the benefits of advance planning.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Holds a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to client meetings and community events.
Experience
- Demonstrates at least one to three years of proven success in sales, B2C sales, or customer service.
- Shows a strong history of building and maintaining client relationships through effective relationship management.
Knowledge/Skills
- Applies exceptional active listening skills to understand client needs and offer appropriate solutions.
- Communicates with clarity and confidence during presentations and community outreach using strong public speaking abilities.
- Navigates CRM software and standard office technology with ease to manage daily tasks.
- Prioritizes daily responsibilities independently using strong time management skills.
- Closes agreements professionally by employing strong negotiation tactics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Brings prior experience in the death care, memorial, or insurance industries.
- Demonstrates advanced proficiency in using modern CRM software for pipeline management.
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions
- Lifts promotional materials and event supplies weighing up to twenty pounds.
- Spends time standing or walking during client tours of the memorial park grounds.
- Works occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate family schedules and community events.
- Travels locally within the region to meet clients and attend outreach functions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Driver's License with reliable vehicle and auto insurance (Required)
- Ability to obtain Cemetery Sales license through the state of Wisconsin.
- Schedule Monday - Friday, some weekends as needed. There are set hours as well as flexibility to set your own schedule
