The ideal candidate combines strong creative sensibility, deep market knowledge, and production management experience with the ability to champion bold ideas through a collaborative and structured process.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Development / Pre-production / Set-up

    • Identify, evaluate, and develop scripted and unscripted ideas with strong creative identity and global appeal

    • Collaborate with writers, directors, producers, and studios to refine story direction, characters, tone, and format

    • Guide projects through Disney’s development and greenlight process, aligning creative vision with strategic goals

    Production / Delivery Oversight

    • Oversee all aspects of project execution, from pre-production through post, ensuring creative excellence, efficiency, and brand alignment

    • Partner with internal teams including Production Management, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to maintain schedules, budgets, and workflows

    • Manage potential production and reputational risks, ensuring compliance with Disney’s global standards and sensitivities

    Partnership / Relationship Management

    • Build and sustain trusted relationships with Korea’s creative community — including writers, producers, and talent agencies

    • Partner closely with regional and global Disney+ teams to align Korea’s originals with broader creative and content strategies

    • Represent Disney+ as a creative partner of choice, fostering collaboration and co-development opportunities

    • Contribute to slate planning and portfolio discussions, identifying growth and synergy opportunities across genres and markets

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in content development, production, or commissioning for scripted and/or unscripted series at a major studio, network, or OTT platform

    • Strong creative instincts and story evaluation skills, with proven ability to identify and elevate projects with both local resonance and global potential

    • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects from development through delivery, balancing creative ambition with operational execution

    • Deep understanding of Korea’s entertainment and production ecosystem, including leading creators, studios, and talent agencies

    • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Post-Production teams in a matrixed environment

    • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate creative insights into actionable plans that support business and brand objectives

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders

    • Awareness of content sensitivities, regulatory standards, and cultural nuances relevant to the Korean market
