Associate Merchandise Planner Opportunities

The Role 

Our Associate Merchandise Planner roles help drive commercial performance across a portfolio of merchandise categories, be it Home, Apparel, Leisure, Grocery and more. Working closely with Merchandise Planners, Buyers, and cross-functional teams, the learning opportunities and insight into the world of retail will be unmatched!

Working under the direction of a Senior Merchandise Planner and working alongside a highly commercial team, you'll be owning the planning activities of your own merchandise planning portfolio and use data and insights to support key planning decisions around sales, inventory, forecasting, and profitability.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys turning data into actionable insights and wants to develop a career within merchandise planning in a fast-paced retail environment.

What you’ll be doing  

• Supporting category and seasonal planning processes.
• Using reporting and insights to identify risks, opportunities and actions that improve category performance
• Develop forecasting, stock management, and inventory optimisation.
• Working with Buyers to monitor product performance and trading activity.
• Providing insights to support promotional, ranging, and replenishment decisions.
• Contributing to post-season reviews and planning cycles.
• Helping ensure stock is in the right place, at the right time, to meet customer demand.

What you’ll bring 

Retail is dynamic - solving problems, turning insights into action and seeing real business world impacts will be all in a day’s work! You're naturally curious, commercially minded, and keen to learn how products move from supplier to shelf while helping create great customer experiences and business outcomes! You may already have experience in merchandise planning, retail analysis, allocation, forecasting, or a related commercial role.

You'll bring:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence working with data and large datasets.
• Excel skills and a willingness to learn planning systems.
• Good commercial judgement and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Curiosity and a desire to understand what drives retail performance.
• The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
