    Job Description

Third Bridge's legal team is growing. As we scale globally, we're building smarter ways of working, and this role sits at the heart of that effort.

As Legal Associate, you'll work directly with the Global Head of Legal in London and the Legal Counsel in Mumbai, handling a broad mix of real legal work spanning contracts, corporate governance, IP administration, data protection, and management. You'll not only execute legal tasks to a high standard but work with a future operations team to help shape the processes and systems that will underpin how the legal team operates as it grows.

    Your Responsibilities

    Contract & Document Execution (30%)

    • Draft legal documents using established templates and prepare first drafts for regional review
    • Review simple vendor contracts independently and flag issues requiring escalation
    • Maintain executed documents and tag key clauses and risks on the document management system

Corporate Governance & Company Secretarial (20%)

    • Complete straightforward Companies House filings and maintain statutory registers
    • Prepare routine board minutes and resolutions
    • Track filing deadlines and ensure timely compliance across jurisdictions

    Data Protection Support (15%)

    • Process data protection requests including deactivations and subject access requests
    • Maintain and update Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs)
    • Run data protection training across teams
    • Assist with policy implementation and compliance monitoring

    IP Portfolio Administration (15%)

    • Maintain trade mark and patent registers, renewal schedules, and ownership records
    • Coordinate trade mark and patent renewals with external agents – instructing, tracking, and filing confirmations
    • Monitor renewal deadlines and docket key IP dates to prevent lapses
    • Process trade mark watch notices and flag potential conflicts to regional counsels
    • Conduct basic trade mark availability searches on national registries
    • Record assignments, licences, and changes of ownership on IP registers
    • Keep IP schedules in contracts accurate and up to date
    • Support Legal Counsel on IP due diligence by collating and organising registers

    Legal Management & Documentation (20%)

    • Coordinate updates to legal policies, playbooks and templates and maintain current versions among various teams
    • Review and refresh legal websites and intranet pages
    • Maintain legal policies with robust version control
    • Arrange signatures, coordinate execution logistics, and collate KYC/KYV information
    • Upload, manage, and process legal invoices on NetSuite
    • Support the wider legal team with process improvement initiatives

    Essential Skills & Qualifications

    Required:

    • Law degree from a recognised Indian university (LLB/BA LLB/BBA LLB) or equivalent
    • 2-5 years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house environment
    • Solid understanding of contract fundamentals and ability to review standard commercial agreements
    • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
    • Reliable, proactive, and collaborative – you follow through on tasks and naturally look for ways to improve how things work

    Desirable:

    • Experience with document management systems, e-signature platforms, or NetSuite
    • Understanding of UK Companies House filings and GDPR fundamentals
    • In-house experience in a fast-paced environment
    • Exposure to expert network or information services businesses
    • Additional language skills
