    Job description

    The Operations Supervisor leads an onshore team or offshore platform crew, overseeing continuous, 24/7 asset operations and daily technical maintenance to keep equipment and systems running safely and efficiently. This role supervises and coaches the team to ensure safety, team cohesion, and reliable performance on the assigned asset. The position may support operations across land-based facilities, marsh locations, nearshore assets, and offshore facilities depending on operational needs.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Supervise, train, and coach assigned personnel.
    • Lead by example and promote best practices for the productive, safe operation of assigned asset(s) in accordance with company and industry standards.
    • Oversee daily operations and crew responsibilities.
    • Perform maintenance and repair work on pipelines, valves, actuators, and related equipment.
    • Maintenance, repair, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical and pneumatic equipment and PLC-based safety systems.
    • Perform operator and technician services as directed and in accordance with specific project work plans and operating procedures.
    • Support operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response activities in land, marsh, nearshore, and offshore environments as required.
    • Serve as first responder to pipeline emergencies.
    • Respond to and resolve one-call tickets.
    • Review and update station isometric drawings.
    • Use proper tools and equipment to perform integrity management and regulatory tasks on pipelines.
    • Perform general upkeep and maintenance tasks, safety checks, and inspections of assigned facilities and equipment, including control panels, heater treaters, compressors, tanks, scrubbers, and offshore production equipment.
    • Maintain knowledge of and adherence to safety and environmental guidelines and requirements when performing job duties.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Working Conditions

    • Worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions and weather, including heat and cold, wind, humidity, and exposure to atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system, including fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, and poor ventilation.
    • Physical activities of this position include standing or sitting for extended periods, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.
    • Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing computer screens, performing inspections, operating equipment, and using precision measurement devices.
    • Worker may be exposed to a variety of conditions including weather extremes, confined spaces, loud noises, vibration, moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, elevated work areas, and exposure to heat and chemicals.
    • Work may be performed in land, marsh, nearshore, and offshore environments depending on business and operational requirements.
    • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Perform job duties in required PPE, including steel-toe boots, respirator, hard hat, and other required protective equipment.
    • Travel may be required by vehicle, boat, crew boat, airboat, or helicopter depending on the location and nature of the work.
    • Boat or helicopter transportation may be required to and from offshore facilities.
    • Occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be required at other work locations and/or offices. Travel volume varies by work location.
    • Assigned schedules vary by location (e.g., 14/14 or 7/7 rotation) and are subject to change based on operational needs. Overtime and on-call hours may be required.
    • Position is subject to DOT Pipeline drug and alcohol testing requirements.

    Education and Qualifications

    • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid Driver's License.
    • Technical schooling in electrical or related field preferred.
    • Ten (10) years of oil and/or gas pipeline experience with demonstrated knowledge of pipeline regulations and I&E, measurement, production, or related operations experience.
    • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
    • Pipeline operations experience, including pipeline pigging experience.
    • Experience in marsh, marine, nearshore, or offshore operations preferred.
    • Working knowledge of applicable BSEE, PHMSA, USCG, EPA, and API requirements and procedures preferred.
    • Possess and maintain required certifications for assigned work locations, including HUET, TWIC Card, T-2, and PHMSA Operator Qualification, as applicable.
    • Driven, self-motivated, and conscientious with a strong work ethic, leadership presence, and commitment to safety.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Flexible and adaptable team player with the ability to work independently and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient computer skills.
    • Must be able to travel and work on a call-out basis.
    • Must be able to work assigned schedules, including overtime, call-out, and on-call responsibilities.
