Job Summary

Responsible for providing direct patient care and clinical support across all South Central OB/GYN clinic locations. This position requires independence, initiative, and a strong commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality while supporting multiple clinic locations as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Mississippi Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous OB/GYN clinic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify patients using approved patient identifiers before treatment.
• Obtain and document ambulatory intake in Cerner.
• Route prescriptions to pharmacies and administer/document injections.
• Perform and document Non-Stress Tests as ordered.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals and radiology procedures.

• Address patient messages and notify patients of test results and provider instructions.
• Place orders in Cerner per physician instructions using approved verbal order processes.
• Perform and document approved laboratory procedures.
• Assist physicians with procedures and complete consent forms accurately.
• Follow infection control, safety, HIPAA, and universal precaution standards.
• Provide patient triage and communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
• Complete assignments in a timely manner and assist coworkers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and patient interaction.
• Ability to assist with patient care activities and clinical procedures.
• Manual dexterity sufficient for medication administration, testing, and documentation.
