Position Summary
Acuren is currently recruiting for RT Level III NAS410 Inspector (DR/CR a plus) to support our operation in Longview, TX.
The RT Level III NAS410 Inspector/NDT SME wil set up and calibrate testing equipment. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects). Devise ways to examine objects, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations

Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
- Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
- Organize and report test results
- Perform specialized inspections
- May instruct and supervise others
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some college preferred
- Certified Level III RT (DR/CR a plus)
- NAS410 certification
- Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO) Course and/or NDT Foundations Course
- Additional NDT certifications preferred MT,PT,UTT,VT,PMI(any convination)
- Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
- Knowledge of NDT equipment
- Familiarization of NDE methods (conventional and advanced)
- Experience in report writing
- State Card(Industrial Radiographer State Card/trainer status a plus)
- 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training (40RAD)
- IRRSP card
- TWIC card preferred
- Local to Longview, TX or willing to relocate
- LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking candidates who are based in or near Longview, TX or those willing to relocate. While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to local candidates or those willing to relocate due to the requirements of the positions.

Working Conditions
- Extreme cold and extreme heat environmental conditions, in and near hazards to include proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places in excess of 100 feet, exposure to high heat, extreme cold, or exposure to chemicals, in conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
- Adaptable to changing schedules with willingness to travel regularly, including last minute and overnight travel. Must be willing to overtime.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & DEMANDS:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, and crouch as needed
- Sufficient balance and mobility to navigate various surfaces and elevations
- Sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating equipment and handling tools
- Ability to reach overhead and at various body heights
- Adequate vision (with or without correction) for detailed work
- Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to detect audible equipment indicators or alarms
- Ability to wear and operate required personal protective equipment (PPE)
