HR & Payroll Consultant

As a key contributor within TMF’s Global HR and Payroll Practice, the Consultant is responsible for managing multiple engagement projects that form the core of HRP Consultancy Services delivered to TMF clients. A key focus of the role includes leading “outbound” projects requested by clients within the same region, as well as supporting “inbound” projects requested by clients headquartered outside the region.

• Lead complex transformational consultancy projects for global payroll and HR clients, with a focus on payroll transformation
• Deliver high levels of client satisfaction through the quality of work and advice provided
• Provide support and guidance to less senior team members involved in the delivery of consulting projects, as needed
• Support the timely, accurate, and complete delivery of all HRP Consultancy solutions sold, while meeting chargeable utilisation targets
• Contribute to the scoping, pricing, delivery, and invoicing of each engagement, working with local TMF partners or third parties as necessary
• Collaborate with the sales team to draft proposals and engagement letters for approval
• Monitor trends in the global HR and Payroll market to recommend fit-for-purpose consultancy solutions aligned with client needs
• Develop methodologies, tools, and techniques for use by the team on future engagements
• Identify and communicate opportunities based on market trends and the broader economic context of the industry
• Collaborate with other business units to ensure alignment and effective cooperation across the HR and Payroll service line

• Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in Business Administration or equivalent, with a concentration in Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll, or International Business; Master’s degree preferred
• At least 10 years of professional experience in an operational or consulting role, including experience in payroll and HR consultancy, operations, or transformation
• Advanced knowledge in a specific area of HR and/or Payroll (e.g. global mobility, benefits, shared services centres, mergers and acquisitions, global payments) is an advantage
• Experience in an advisory environment delivering consultancy services and working towards billable time and revenue targets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional language is an advantage
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to evolving environments
• Ability to take initiative and work with a high degree of autonomy
• Experience in transformation initiatives, ensuring intended benefits are realised
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, both internally and with existing and prospective clients
