Role Summary:
As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and strengthening the finance function of TOMRA Singapore during an exciting phase of growth. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will act as a trusted business partner to the leadership team, ensuring strong financial governance while driving the development of scalable processes, efficient ways of working, and a high-performing finance organization.
Beyond the local market, you will serve as a key liaison between Singapore and TOMRA Collection Asia finance community, helping to align priorities, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to finance activities across Asia. This position offers a rare opportunity to combine local finance leadership with regional exposure while helping to build the finance foundation of a growing and evolving business.
Your Responsibilities:
Singapore Finance Operation & Leadership
- Act as the finance lead for TOMRA Singapore, partnering closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely execution of accounting, reporting, cash management, controls, and compliance activities.
- Review end-to-end finance processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and governance as the business continues to grow.
- Establish and maintain clear finance structures, policies, controls, and ways of working that support a fast-evolving organization.
- Provide practical financial guidance and insights to support operational and commercial decision-making.
Financial Planning, Reporting & Control
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial analysis processes for the Singapore business.
- Prepare and review monthly financial results, variance analysis, and performance reports for local and regional stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance, cash flow, and key business drivers, proactively highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and TOMRA internal control standards.
- Coordinate external audits, tax filings, banking relationships, and regulatory matter
Asia Finance Coordinator & Regional Support
- Assist regional finance initiatives, reporting activities, and improvement projects across TOMRA Collection Asia.
- Contribute to regional budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and cross-border finance matters where required.
- Participate in finance transformation, process standardization, and system enhancement initiatives across the region.
Team Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the local finance team member, ensuring effective execution of operational finance activities.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, collaboration, and practical problem-solving.
- Identify and implement opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls, and enhance overall finance efficiency.
Qualifications
Your profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including financial reporting, business partnering, budgeting, and compliance.
- Experience in a multinational environment with exposure to both local and regional finance operations.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proven ability to review, improve, and establish finance processes and governance frameworks.
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both business leaders and finance teams across different countries.
- Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-growing and evolving environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with sound business judgment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional Asian language capabilities are an advantage.
