Business Analyst / Data Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Data Analyst who can bridge the gap between business and technical teams. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in requirements gathering, SQL, data analysis, data mapping, validation, reporting, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & Requirement Analysis

• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and data requirements.
• Conduct requirement discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Use Cases, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Identify gaps, dependencies, assumptions, and requirement changes.

Data Analysis & Mapping

• Analyze data from multiple source systems to identify trends, gaps, and inconsistencies.
• Write SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
• Prepare source-to-target data mappings, transformation rules, and business logic.
• Analyze data flows, integrations, and dependencies across systems.
• Support logical and physical data modeling based on business requirements.

Data Quality & Reporting

• Define and validate data quality and business validation rules.
• Perform source-to-target reconciliation and investigate data discrepancies.
• Gather requirements for reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analytics.
• Work with BI/Data teams to ensure reporting requirements are accurately implemented.
• Support Power BI/Tableau reporting and dashboard validation.

UAT & Stakeholder Management

• Prepare UAT scenarios, test cases, and validation criteria.
• Validate data, reports, dashboards, and business rules.
• Coordinate with Developers, QA, Data Engineers, BI teams, and business users to resolve issues.
• Conduct requirement walkthroughs and communicate solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Data Governance

• Maintain data dictionaries, business definitions, metadata, naming conventions, and data lineage documentation.
• Support data quality, governance, traceability, and auditability initiatives.

Key Skills – Must Have:

• 5–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst / Business Data Analyst.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience in data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Strong requirement gathering and documentation skills.
• Experience with BRD, FRD, User Stories, Use Cases, and UAT.
• Understanding of data models, data flows, databases, and reporting systems.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Power BI / Tableau

Jira / Confluence
ETL/ELT and Data Warehouse concepts
API/Integration understanding
Python/Pandas basics
Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP

Work Details:

Work Location: Hyderabad

Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 days per week from office

Working Hours: 2:00PM to 11:00 PM.
