Enrichment Activities Teacher

Here’s an an opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of students, families and communities by teaching the game of chess. If you share our passion for chess and have a deep commitment to teaching the game to children, we would like to meet you.

We are looking for chess teachers who have the ability to use chess to motivate, educate and help children discover their potential for greatness. We look for teachers with teaching experience and a deep desire to make a difference in the lives of children.

Our ideal CANDIDATE will have:

• Classroom experience as a teacher, student aide, teachers aide, or paraprofessional
• Strong classroom management skills
• Experience working with kindergarten and first grade is a plus
• Ability to learn our proven methods of teaching chess
• Previous chess experience is NOT REQUIRED
• The ability to help students learn, understand and love the game of chess
• Strong desire to raise the achievement levels of traditionally under-served students
• An incredible work ethic and a passion for being part of a team
• Bachelor's Degree (PREFERRED)
• Background Check and TB Test (REQUIRED)

COMPENSATION

Up to $15-$25/hr.
