What's in it for you:

Trane Technologies is hiring a Category Manager - Facilities in Davidson, NC! This is a critical role on our Procurement team, with a large, complex scope of responsibilities within the assigned category. We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to own the space, strategy, supply base, and performance of our Facilities Category, and stay current on market trends and conditions in this category. 

What you will do:

• Responsible for strategy development, execution of Procurement processes and supplier relationship management
• Develop & implement multi-year category strategies with goals to increase spend with preferred suppliers
• Develop relationships and communication strategies with internal partners to identify business needs and align supply base to achieve strategic direction
• Responsible for building and managing strategic supplier relationships through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovation
• Provide leadership and oversight of the sourcing process to ensure spend is awarded to provide the maximum value
• Lead the development and negotiation of contracts through the contract lifecycle maximizing value while minimizing risk
• Partner with Regional and Global Procurement teams to ensure delivery of productivity and cost avoidance
• Ability to travel 10-15%

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of procurement / sourcing experience with large-scale, complex, and/or regional/global categories of spend.
• Demonstrated success in assessing, negotiating and managing vendors.
• Collaborative, facilitation, consultation and conflict resolution skills; you will be a trusted business partner and engage both internal and external stakeholders/customers, and we are seeking the ability to collaborate and influence within a highly matrixed environment.
• Professional communication; both verbal and written are required.

$75,700.00 - $135,834.99
