Description:

As the Manager, Carrier Sales and Development for our Power-Only team, you will partner closely with TransLoop's strategic account teams to develop market expertise, identify opportunities, and execute effective pricing strategies that drive profitable growth.

In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of processes that enable efficient analysis of both internal and external market data. Your insights and recommendations will help ensure TransLoop captures maximum truckload volume across network RFPs, mini-bids, projects, seasonal freight opportunities, and the spot market.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with Account Executives, Carrier Sales leadership, Pricing, and Operations teams to develop and execute comprehensive carrier procurement and pricing strategies. Success in this position requires a strong analytical mindset, deep transportation market knowledge, and the ability to influence key stakeholders across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of Power Only Carrier Executives, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic guidance and coaching to Carrier Executives of all experience levels, leveraging market intelligence, network dynamics, and industry expertise to drive optimal decision-making.
• Serve as the steward of TransLoop's carrier sales processes and systems, ensuring operational excellence, data integrity, and adherence to company standards across the organization.
• Act as a subject matter expert on TransLoop's services, technology, and carrier network, identifying opportunities to expand and strengthen existing and prospective customer relationships.
• Manage team performance through KPI tracking, performance reviews, coaching, and regular cadence meetings to drive individual and team success.
• Leverage the TransLoop technology platform, carrier network, and industry resources to deliver innovative transportation solutions for shipping partners.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve carrier engagement, satisfaction, and retention across the network.
• Monitor, analyze, and communicate market trends, capacity conditions, and industry developments to support informed business decisions.
• Identify and implement solutions that maximize operational efficiency, scalability, and service quality.
• Optimize network utilization by strategically matching freight opportunities with existing carrier capacity.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for service-related issues, proactively resolving in-transit challenges and ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Oversee carrier communications and load posting processes to ensure timely, accurate, and effective market coverage.
• Lead initiatives to build and strengthen carrier capacity in strategically important and traditionally challenging markets.
• Partner cross-functionally with Carrier Sales, Operations, Account Management, and Pricing teams to execute growth strategies and enhance overall network performance.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of experience in the transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage industry.
• Experience with Power Only transportation and/or private fleet operations strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and developing employees while consistently delivering high performance and business results.
• Experience managing high-volume, complex customer accounts across multiple modes, regions, or operational requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage internal stakeholders, carriers, and customers.
• Proficiency with modern technology platforms and a willingness to continuously learn and leverage new tools to drive efficiency and results.
• Ability to balance strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency and execution, delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a commitment to team development, operational excellence, and business growth.
• Demonstrated coaching, mentoring, and teaching abilities, with a passion for developing top talent.
• Relentless drive to build and maintain a best-in-class carrier sales organization and carrier network.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
