Team Overview
This role is critical to provide technical leadership and oversight across a team of four developers supporting key enterprise platforms, including Salesforce and Workday. As the Salesforce SME, the individual will be responsible for guiding the Salesforce development team, ensuring solution quality, governance, and platform stability. In addition, this role will lead the identification, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities and technical risks identified through the Obsidian platform, helping strengthen security posture and reduce operational risk. The position will also support cross-functional collaboration, architectural decision-making, and delivery of strategic business initiatives across the application portfolio.

This job is assigned as On-Site Essential and requires in- person work at an assigned TU office location as a condition of employment.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Core Roles & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical expert for the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, integrations, and related applications.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Salesforce developers, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.
- Design, review, and approve scalable Salesforce solutions that align with business and enterprise architecture requirements.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Salesforce enhancements, integrations, and platform modernization initiatives.
- Drive platform governance, release management, and deployment processes to ensure system stability and reliability.
- Own the identification, prioritization, and remediation of Salesforce security vulnerabilities and technical risks identified through Obsidian and other security assessment tools.
- Partner with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, and Compliance teams to ensure Salesforce solutions meet security, regulatory, and data governance requirements.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot complex production issues, and implement proactive improvements to enhance system availability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into sustainable technical solutions and roadmaps.
- Mentor and upskill development team members through code reviews, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Manage technical debt reduction initiatives and drive continuous improvement across the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Evaluate emerging Salesforce capabilities and recommend innovations that improve business outcomes and operational efficiency.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Required Knowledge & Experience
- 8-12 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development, administration, and solution architecture.
- Strong expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Experience, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Salesforce APIs.
- Proven experience designing and implementing scalable Salesforce solutions in large enterprise environments.
- Extensive knowledge of Salesforce security model, including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, role hierarchy, and security best practices.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, and external systems.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD processes, release management, and deployment tools.
- Experience leading technical teams, conducting code reviews, and mentoring Salesforce developers.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and remediating platform vulnerabilities, technical debt, and security findings from security assessment tools such as Obsidian.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and enterprise application lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Salesforce certifications preferred, such as Salesforce Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect, System Architect, or similar credentials.
- Experience collaborating with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to corporate governance and security standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce Shield, Security Center, and advanced platform security controls.
- Knowledge of Workday or other enterprise SaaS platforms is an advantage.
- Experience in regulated, highly governed enterprise environments supporting critical business operations.
