Summit Truck Bodies is looking for a Vortex and Undercoating Painter responsible for the proper application of Vortex and undercoating to the body and parts by operating spray equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying work order, bill of materials and blueprints.
- Prepare bodies for Vortex and undercoating application by masking, taping and prepping the bodies.
- Operate spray equipment to linex and undercoat the body.
- Dispose of hazardous waste from the Vortex and undercoating process in accordance with federal and state laws.
- Adjust paint spraying equipment to get proper flow and coating thickness.
- Responsible for inspecting work after Vortex/undercoat is applied.
- Observe health and safety by wearing a respirator, paint suits and all other PPE.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Participate in all continuous improvement programs by offering suggestions and exhibiting initiative in areas within direct control.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
