Pay Rate: $17.00 an hour
SUMMARY: To wash and iron linens and towels. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards. May be 16 years of age or older.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate industrial laundry equipment to perform a variety of duties including but not limited to washing, drying, sorting, folding and inspecting items for wear and tear
- Ensure laundry area is clean and organized
- Sort and prioritize incoming laundry
- Stock carts and storage areas with linen and terry and maintain stock and inventory
- Assist other staff as needed, including cleaning hotel rooms

Knowledge and Certification
Preferred:
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience

REQUIRED TRAINING
- Treasure Island guest service training
- Bloodborne Pathogens training
- Laundry safety orientation
- Any position-related training as determined by department manager
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time with moderate amounts of walking and occasional sitting
- Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
- Must be able to reach and twist routinely
- Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
- Must have the ability to independently lift up to 40 pounds routinely
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Must have good eye hand coordination
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Work is performed in the laundry area, which includes exposure to cleaning chemicals and fumes, cigarette fumes and extreme heat; May have to go onto the gaming floor, which has flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
- Occasionally overtime may be required
