Laberge Group, a 60+ year fixture in New York State municipal engineering, is now part of Artheon and the Trilon Group. We're looking for an Associate Engineer to start a career in municipal water and wastewater engineering, working alongside licensed engineers on real infrastructure projects for Capital District municipalities.
This role includes a seat in Blueprint, Artheon's early career development program for engineers with 0-4 years of experience. Over six months you'll get structured mentorship, exposure to project delivery, and a clear path toward EIT certification and PE licensure.

- Assist project engineers with calculations, drawings, and technical documentation for water and wastewater projects
- Support field data collection, surveying, and site investigations under supervision
- Learn municipal engineering fundamentals, including NYSDOH, DEC, and EFC regulatory processes
- Take on increasing project responsibility as skills and experience develop
- Participate in firm-supported preparation for the FE exam and EIT certification
- B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (recent graduate or graduating within the next several months)
- No PE or EIT required. Active pursuit of EIT certification within the first year is expected
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn municipal water and wastewater engineering fundamentals
The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
