ICU Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. As an ICU RN, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit. Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment and Monitoring:

   • Monitor vital signs, interpret lab results, and assess the patient's response to treatment.
   • Recognize early signs of deterioration and promptly escalate to the healthcare team.

2. Care Planning and Implementation:

   • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans for patients.
   • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
   • Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines, managing ventilators, and assisting with advanced life support measures.

3. Patient Advocacy:

   • Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during challenging times.
   • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their rights, dignity, and preferences are respected.

4. Team Collaboration:

   • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers, to deliver comprehensive care.
   • Communicate effectively to ensure the continuity of care and the best possible outcomes for patients.

5. Emergency Response:

   • Demonstrate proficiency in handling medical emergencies and promptly initiating life-saving interventions.
   • Maintain composure and efficiency in high-stress situations.

6. Patient Education:

   • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and potential outcomes.
   • Provide information on post-discharge care and self-management to promote long-term well-being.

7. Documentation and Compliance:

   • Accurately record patient assessments, interventions, and responses in medical records.
   • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and industry standards to maintain a safe and compliant environment.

Working Environment: As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will work in a hospital setting, primarily within the Intensive Care Unit. The role may involve shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 patient care coverage. • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
• Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is advantageous.
• Previous experience in an Intensive Care Unit or critical care setting is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
