Administrative Assistant - Mental Health Officer Task Force 5232

Performs advanced secretarial work. Has latitude of decision making in carrying out routine administrative work such as distributing mail, maintaining information and files, preparing routine reports (assisting with monthly and quarterly reports), providing information and instruction to personnel and performing, advanced clerical and data processing duties such as entering data into Anasazi systems. Exercises vigilance in monitoring and meeting deadlines, maintaining confidential files and reports, tact in receiving visitors, and judgment in assembling and organizing information for staff and supervisor.

Works under general supervision of the Supervisor, Mental Health Officer Task Force, but exercises initiative and judgment in determining individual methods and practices for work situations. Work procedures are established with supervisor and periodically reviewed for compliance to established procedures.

Graduation from an accredited high school or GED. One (1) year experience in duties related to the position.

One (1) year semester (15 hours) of college may substitute for each six (6) months experience. Must be able to drive or provide transportation if required by position. Data Entry experience preferred. Medical terminology and transcribing skills preferred. Typing 45 wpm required. Must possess general clerical skills including the ability to operate various computer software packages and copy and fax machines; typing and filing; and answering phones and directing calls in a courteous and professional manner.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
