    Payroll Assistant

    Job description

    Join as a Payroll Assistant and play a key role in supporting the accurate and timely delivery of monthly payroll. This is a part time role, working 4 days a week, 8.30am - 4.30pm (28 hours) hours are open to discussion. Work within a small, collaborative team, this role offers the opportunity to provide payroll administration, reporting, and employee support while ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and firm policies.
    This position will support the day-to-day payroll function, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
    • Process starters, leavers, and monthly payroll changes using ADP/NGUX.
    • Manage overtime, benefits, pension changes, and statutory payments.
    • Respond to employee payroll queries and provide excellent customer service.
    • Support HMRC/PAYE processing and end-of-month reporting.
    • Assist with ad hoc payroll and administrative tasks as required.
    The successful candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Previous payroll administration experience is essential.
    • Proven experience using ADP/NGUX payroll software is essential.
    • Good understanding of payroll legislation, tax, and National Insurance.
    • Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
    • Experience within professional services and/or a CIPP qualification is desirable.
