Join a team working at the intersection of startup wind-downs and AI data acquisition. You will guide founders through a sensitive transition while sourcing and licensing data that can support the development of AI models. This is a consultative, high-empathy sales role with a fast-moving sales cycle.
Own sales conversations with founders winding down their startups, from initial outreach through closing wind-down and data acquisition agreements.
Build at least 25% of your own pipeline through outbound prospecting and identifying companies showing signs of distress.
Negotiate data pricing and legal terms, and walk away from deals that are not a good fit.
Improve the sales playbook based on what you learn in this emerging category.
Work toward acquiring 10 or more data sets per month while maintaining a 40% or higher close rate on qualified deals.
Two to four years of experience in client-facing sales, consulting, investment banking, or partnerships, preferably at a high-growth startup.
A demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding quota and building outbound pipeline, not only handling inbound leads.
Experience at a data or AI company, AI lab, or high-growth startup.
Background in data licensing, data sourcing, or data sales is helpful.
Comfort with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot, sales engagement tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI prospecting tools.
Strong judgment and empathy when working with founders through difficult business decisions.
Annual salary: $125,000 to $150,000. Visa sponsorship is available.
On-site in New York, New York, United States.
