Join an applied AI team building and deploying solutions for vertical software businesses and their customers. In this founding role, you will own end-to-end technical deployments, work closely with company leadership, and help shape how the forward deployed engineering function grows.
Lead customer discovery and translate business challenges into technical specifications and AI workflows.
Build and own full deployment lifecycles, from initial development through customer adoption and ongoing maintenance.
Work on-site with customer teams, including senior leaders, to deliver solutions and support adoption.
Develop shared data models and workflows that can be productized across related industries.
Partner with company leadership to define and execute the applied AI strategy.
Help establish the forward deployed engineering team and its approach as the function expands.
Four to six years of experience in forward deployed engineering or another technical, customer-facing role delivering enterprise B2B software or AI solutions.
Experience owning technical deployments end to end, including building solutions, driving customer adoption, and providing post-deployment support.
Strong engineering fundamentals, with a technical degree or equivalent experience.
Comfort across full-stack engineering, system architecture, data pipelines, AI/ML, and LLM application patterns.
Ability to translate between technical implementation and customer business needs, with meaningful enterprise software experience.
Willingness to travel approximately 50% and be based in Chicago or New York.

Base salary range: $200,000 to $250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
On-site in Chicago, Illinois, or New York, with five days per week in the office and approximately 50% travel to customer locations.
