Join an established New York litigation law firm as a Litigation Associate handling a full caseload of defense matters. You will work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy, client communication, and trial preparation in a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment.
Manage general defense litigation matters, primarily premises liability, from inception through resolution.
Conduct and defend depositions, and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents.
Appear in court and represent clients at mediations and settlement conferences.
Collaborate with senior partners on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communication.
Two to seven years of law firm defense litigation experience, including management of a full caseload.
Experience with premises liability or general negligence matters and conducting and defending depositions.
Familiarity with New York courts, including New York City and Long Island jurisdictions, and experience appearing before judges and attending conferences.
A J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York bar.
Strong legal writing skills, including drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery.
A collaborative approach and interest in long-term professional growth in a mentorship-focused setting.
Salary range: $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Hybrid role based in New York City, New York. Daily in-office attendance at the Long Island office is expected during onboarding, with flexible hybrid work afterward.
