Join an in-house hardware team developing autonomous robotic systems for industrial environments. You will take mechanical subsystems from early concepts to working prototypes, helping bring robots from demonstrations into real-world operations.
Own mechanical subsystem design from initial sketches through prototyping and iteration, making decisions about materials, tolerances, and manufacturing methods.
Design parts and assemblies in CAD, using hand calculations and FEA to guide decisions.
Build and iterate on hardware using 3D printers, shop tools, and CNC equipment.
Integrate mechanical designs with motors, sensors, electronics, and actuators on robotic arms and mobile platforms.
Work with electrical, software, and robotics teammates to deliver complete autonomous systems for deployment.
Two to five years of mechanical design engineering experience with robotic systems.
A BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency with SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, or equivalent CAD tools.
Experience taking physical robotics prototypes from concept to working hardware, including hands-on 3D printing, CNC machining, or shop tool use.
Experience owning subsystems end to end and integrating motors, sensors, or actuators.
Background in a hardware startup or another hands-on engineering environment, such as a robotics team or engineering club.
FEA or topology optimization experience is useful.
Annual salary range: $150,000 to $250,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is not available.
