A Series A insurance technology startup is seeking a Senior BDR/SDR Manager to lead and grow its enterprise outbound business development function. This founding leadership role reports to the sales leader and will help build the processes and team needed to drive qualified pipeline across the insurance industry.
Lead and develop a team of 5 to 6 enterprise SDRs and BDRs, with plans to scale the team and add sub-team managers.
Improve existing playbooks, messaging, and sequences while building processes, tooling, cadences, and ramp plans.
Coach reps on account mapping, executive outreach, messaging, and objection handling.
Own pipeline targets, assess team performance, identify conversion challenges, and drive improvement.
Partner with account executives and marketing on go-to-market strategy, handoffs, and feedback loops.
At least 7 years of sales experience, including 2 or more years managing an enterprise-focused SDR or BDR team.
Experience building and scaling an enterprise business development team at a high-growth startup, rather than only inheriting an established team.
A record of coaching teams to quota attainment and developing individual contributors.
Strong executive presence and confidence communicating with senior leaders at large insurance organizations.
Consistent career progression and sustained tenure in prior roles.
Experience with Salesforce and Amplemarket is relevant.
Annual salary range: $180,000 to $229,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.
