    Job Description

University Health Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Psychologist Training Supervisor to join our greater Kansas City outpatient clinic(s).  University Health is an academic medical center providing quality care to the Kansas City community and beyond, regardless of ability to pay. Patient population includes individuals with a vast range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.  Applicants are considered without regard of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, pregnancy status, veteran status, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other status protected by law.  Psychologists at University Health are members of the Medical Staff and granted clinical privileges and benefits.

The Clinical Psychologist Training Supervisor will provide an advanced level of clinical mental health services in both individual and group settings within the BH Training Department.  Primary duties include supervision of trainees, administrative coordination of practicum program, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, assessment and diagnosis, and consultations.

In this role, the psychologist will collaborate closely with the Training Director to support onboarding and coordination of practicum students, provide consultation and educational presentations, and model high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic care. This is an exciting opportunity for a psychologist who is passionate about mentorship, clinical excellence, and expanding access to quality behavioral health services.

    Ideal candidates will have:

    • At least 2 years of experience providing clinical supervision to master’s- and/or doctoral-level trainees or interns
    • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills, with the ability to manage data, coordinate processes, and communicate effectively both within and outside the organization
    • Demonstrated commitment to the provision and teaching of Evidence-Based Practices
    • Experience working with adults (18+) in community mental health settings and/or serving underserved populations
    • Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a supportive team environment
    • Strong understanding of psychological diagnoses and therapies
    • Training and experience with DBT is preferred, though not required.
