What will you contribute? 
We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineering Lead to join our Bangalore-based team at Teciem. You will lead a team of AI engineers in India while remaining a hands-on contributor in your own right-writing code and delivering GenAI solutions alongside your team. You will take ownership of our GenAI products, be a driving force in shaping their technical direction, unblock complex challenges, and ensure solutions reach production quality. You will report to the Paris-based AI Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities 
•   Lead and grow the Bangalore team of AI engineers - providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support.
• Contribute hands-on alongside the team-designing, writing, and delivering production code.
•  Own the end-to-end delivery of our GenAI products, ensuring technical excellence and business alignment.
•  Drive the technical direction-architecture, tooling, and standards-in close collaboration with the AI Engineering Manager and aligned with the group AI strategy.
•  Collaborate with product managers, designers, and software engineers on the AI roadmap.
•  Foster a positive, inclusive, and innovative team culture.
•  Stay at the forefront of AI research and trends.

Required qualifications & skills 
•  Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on AI/ML.
•  7+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in AI/ML/GenAI engineering.
•  Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
•  Deep expertise in AI/ML, with hands-on experience in GenAI, LLMs, NLP, and conversational AI.
•  Demonstrated success in deploying GenAI solutions in production.
•  Proficiency in Python and familiarity with large-scale analytics and machine learning libraries.
•  Experience with modern AI frameworks and tools (e.g., LangGraph, MCP).
•  Ability to work autonomously across distributed teams.
