Job Description: Cloud Security Engineer (TP3) 

Experience Range: 3-6 years

Role Description:
Teciem is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join the Global Security team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and overseeing the implementation of secure cloud environments. An ideal candidate would have experience in security solutions related to business problems for a Software as a service delivery platform with considerations related to ISO27001 and SOC2 compliance

Responsibilities:

Cloud Security Engineering

• Design and Strategy: Develop and maintain the cloud security architectural blueprint across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Review and secure IaC templates (Terraform, CloudFormation) to ensure "Security by Design" from the start.

• Identity & Access Management (IAM): Design and implement robust IAM policies, ensuring the principle of least privilege is applied across all cloud services.

• Network Security: Architect secure cloud network configurations, including VPCs, firewalls, WAFs, and zero-trust connectivity models.

• Threat Modeling: Cloud-specific threat modeling sessions to identify architectural risks and prioritize mitigation strategies.

• Workload Protection: Secure containerized environments (Kubernetes/Docker) and serverless architectures.

• Security Baselines: Develop and maintain security baselines for cloud services

Other Duties:

• Serve as security consultant for cloud migration projects.

• Evaluate and pilot emerging cloud security tools (CSPM, CWPP, CIEM).

• Mentor engineering teams on cloud-native security features and automation.

Technical Skills and Capabilities (Must Have):

• 5+ years of experience in IT Security, with at least 2-3 years specifically focused on cloud architecture and working experience of WIZ tool

• Hands-on experience with cloud-native security tools (e.g., AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel, Prisma Cloud, Wiz or Similar tools).

• Automation: Strong ability to script in Python, Go, or Bash to automate security checks and remediation.

• Encryption: Solid knowledge of KMS, TLS, and secrets management (HashiCorp Vault).

Certifications (Preferred):

• Cloud-Specific: AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.

• Cloud Agnostic Security certifications: CCSK, CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or CISSP.

Competencies:

• The ability to multitask, act under pressure and quickly identify and deal with priority matters under tight deadlines. Attention to detail is essential.

• The ability to handle multiple inquiries at any one time, often under considerable deadline pressure.

Desired Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

• Excellent communication skills – capable of articulating technical issues and recommendations clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ownership and accountability – proactive in identifying issues, taking initiative, and driving closure.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a cross-functional team environment
