    Senior Atlassian Consultant

    Role & Purpose

    The Senior Atlassian Consultant is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and governance of Teciem's enterprise Atlassian platform, including Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Bitbucket. The role serves as the technical subject matter expert, providing architectural guidance throughout migration and transformation initiatives, ensuring platform reliability, scalability, and compliance.

    Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, the role will drive platform adoption, resolve technical challenges, document platform standards and customizations, and establish a sustainable BAU support model through knowledge transfer, mentoring, and training.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and architect scalable, secure Atlassian platforms across global environments.
    • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for Atlassian migration and transformation initiatives.
    • Act as the SME for Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Bitbucket, resolving technical challenges and migration blockers.
    • Configure and customize workflows, permissions, issue types, and project structures to support Agile, DevOps, and ITSM processes.
    • Lead the consolidation and standardization of Atlassian instances into a centralized platform.
    • Integrate Atlassian tools with CI/CD and DevOps platforms, including Jenkins, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
    • Build and maintain self-service portals, service catalogs, and automated workflows within Jira Service Management.
    • Develop automation using ScriptRunner, JMWE, and Automation for Jira.
    • Ensure all platform configurations, plugins, integrations, and customizations are fully documented in Confluence.
    • Implement governance and controls aligned with SOC2, ISO 27001, and data privacy requirements.
    • Monitor platform performance, availability, and health, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Support platform adoption through training, documentation, and Centre of Excellence best practices.
    • Mentor and enable the BAU support team to ensure successful operational handover and ongoing support of the Atlassian platform.

    Skills, Experience & Attributes

    Experience

    • 5+ years of experience administering and supporting Atlassian platforms in enterprise environments.
    • Proven experience delivering Atlassian migration, consolidation, or transformation projects.
    • Experience supporting Agile, DevOps, and ITSM methodologies.

    Technical Skills

    • Advanced knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Bitbucket.
    • Strong experience with ScriptRunner, JMWE, and Automation for Jira.
    • Experience integrating Atlassian tools with Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, and other enterprise applications.
    • Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, platform governance, and enterprise architecture.

    Compliance & Governance

    • Knowledge of SOC2, ISO 27001, security standards, and data privacy requirements.

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
