As Heavy Equipment Operator you sit in the cab that makes every cubic meter count—safe, precise, on schedule—so our mining, earthworks, and construction crews can keep delivering for clients who trust us with their most demanding sites.
Performance Objectives
- Complete assigned earthmoving, grading, and extraction cycles 10–15 % faster than site baseline while recording zero lost-time incidents each month.
- Maintain 95 %+ equipment availability by performing daily inspections, reporting defects immediately, and executing first-line servicing on CAT, Komatsu, and similar machines.
- Achieve design grades and cut/fill tolerances within 2 cm on 90 % of surveyed sections, reducing rework and fuel waste.
- Support urbanization and hydraulic projects by coordinating with surveyors and civil teams to place material exactly where drawings specify, first time.
- Log every shift in the digital work-order system so superintendents have real-time production data for client reporting.
Environment & Resources
You report to the Site Superintendent and work alongside a tight crew of operators, mechanics, and surveyors on active mining, road, and construction sites. You have access to well-maintained heavy plant, GPS machine-control systems, and a dedicated maintenance team. Safety gear, fuel, and consumables are supplied; you own the cab and the outcome.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven ability to operate excavators, dozers, loaders, and graders on mining or heavy-civil projects for at least four years, with documented production records.
- Track record of zero preventable incidents over the last 24 months and fluency with daily pre-start checklists.
- Comfort reading grade stakes, GPS screens, and basic construction drawings.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts
