System Integrity Sales Associate

Johnson Controls is looking for a customer-focused System Integrity Associate I to support fire and life safety customers by turning inspection deficiencies into clear repair opportunities. In this role, you will help customers understand identified issues, prepare quotes and proposals, and drive repair work through timely follow-up and strong service coordination.

Role Overview

This position plays a key part in the systems integrity sales process. You will review inspection findings, communicate repair recommendations, and work closely with customers and internal teams to move quoted work forward. Success in this role depends on strong organization, confident communication, and consistent follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

• Review inspection deficiency information and identify repair opportunities for fire and life safety systems.
• Prepare proposals and quotes for identified repair work and follow up on delivered quotes in a timely manner.
• Contact customers by phone to present solutions, answer questions, and gain commitment on quoted work.
• Communicate regularly with customers regarding systems integrity issues, recommendations, and proposed repairs.
• Maintain and update the inspection deficiency tracking system each day.
• Report sales progress, quote activity, and key metrics to management on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Deliver on assigned sales goals while maintaining a positive customer experience.
• Serve as the primary point of contact in the district office for customers with identified systems integrity issues.
• Partner with Service and other sales team members to quote and sell system repairs when additional support is needed.
• Use Microsoft Office and web-based tools to manage quotes, correspondence, tracking, and reporting.

How You Will Do It

• Take ownership of each opportunity by following through on quotes, commitments, and customer questions with accountability, accuracy, and integrity.
• Stay close to the customer and the work by understanding inspection findings, focusing on the most relevant repair path, and removing barriers that slow down approval.
• Communicate clearly and consistently so customers know what needs attention, what has been quoted, and what the next step is.
• Improve every day by keeping records current, sharing timely feedback, and using tracking data to spot issues before they become delays.
• Win as one team by collaborating with Service, Inspectors, Technicians, and fellow sales colleagues to deliver a better customer experience.
• Work through the defined training program and apply what you learn quickly in daily customer interactions.
• Bring energy, persistence, and a process-oriented approach to each quote follow-up and customer conversation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word, as well as web-based applications.
• Highly motivated, success driven, and able to work toward assigned sales goals.
• Ability to successfully close sales while maintaining a positive customer experience.
• Ability to complete a defined training program after hire.

Nice to Have

• Fire suppression industry experience.
• Administrative experience.
• Experience with high-volume customer phone calls and telephone prospecting.
• Mechanical or electrical field service experience.
• Two years of inside sales or customer service experience.
