Job Summary:
Under the direction of SPD leadership the incumbent assists in carrying out the responsibilities for the overall workflow of the shift. Incumbent decontaminates, operationally checks, assembles, sterilizes, and distributes surgical instrumentation, implants, supplies, and equipment throughout the Medical Center. Incumbent maintains documentation related to these duties and assists in the training of other Sterile Processing Technicians.
Incumbent troubleshoots equipment, instruments and customer issues. Incumbent operates and maintains sterilization equipment, decontamination equipment and computer systems related to these duties. Incumbent participates in performance improvement planning and implementation. This position requires the flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
