Overview

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (F3009 2026-26):

Bowhead seeks a Engineering Technician to join our team in supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division. The Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

• Battery testing set up, monitoring, analysis and general support to government efforts in this area. This effort is intended to help increase general battery life, sustainability and efficiency.
• Technician will support qualification and performance testing support of various systems and be able to qualify their findings in written and/or oral reports to the government counterparts.
• The technician will also assist with overall evaluation of the testing process and results and support where necessary to process results both to and from the fleet.
• Position may require occasional travel depending upon need.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electronics with a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant experience is required at a minimum
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Prior experience at NSWC Crane highly preferred

This is a SCA position and the targeted hourly rate is $38.22 hourly.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a clearance at a Secret level, however candidates with an active Secret level clearance are highly encouraged to apply.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
