About the job

Join UKAEA as an EDI and Wellbeing Advisor and help create an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone can thrive. You will coordinate and deliver activities that support our equality, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing priorities. Working with colleagues across the organisation, you will help turn agreed plans into engaging campaigns, events and practical initiatives.

What You’ll be Doing

• Support the delivery of EDI and wellbeing programmes, taking ownership of defined pieces of work.
• Develop and manage UKAEA’s annual Wellbeing Calendar, coordinating campaigns, activities and events.
• Plan and deliver EDI, inclusion and wellbeing events and engagement activities.
• Support benchmarking exercises and submissions by gathering evidence and coordinating follow-up actions.
• Produce engaging communications, campaign materials, briefings and intranet content.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders and act as an operational contact for internal wellbeing communities.
• Chair and facilitate meetings, ensuring actions are recorded and progressed.
• Provide guidance on EDI and wellbeing best practice within agreed policies and frameworks.
• Work with colleagues to analyse data, identify challenges and monitor the impact of initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and support UKAEA’s Disability Confident status and wider governance requirements.

What You’ll Bring

• A CIPD Level 3 qualification, progress towards one, or equivalent experience in an HR, EDI, wellbeing or people-focused role.
• Experience of providing high-quality customer service and managing relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to identify issues, solve problems and propose practical solutions.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with experience of analysing and presenting information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities.

UKAEA is an onsite organisation, and this role requires regular onsite presence (usually 3 days in any given week) in line with business needs. We actively support flexible working arrangements where this is compatible with the role.
