We are looking for a versatile and motivated Software Engineer to develop and integrate hardware and Desktop applications primarily in C# and partly C++. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers across disciplines to ensure seamless hardware-software integration, improve system performance, and drive structured documentation and testing processes.

ROLE OVERVIEW
- Extend and optimize C#/C++ code for hardware communication and system applications
- Develop and integrate software that enhances the performance and usability of our technology
- Design, develop, and maintain automated software and hardware testing
- Investigate and analyze external and internal bug reports
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering to align development with project goals
- Support implementation and code review within the software team
- Participate in and refine all stages of the software development process, including research, design, implementation, integration, testing, and deployment
- Maintain structured documentation and project tracking, ensuring clarity, reproducibility, and version control
YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive knowledge in .NET/C# on Desktop and embedded platforms, knowledge in Desktop UI development (WPF, Avalonia) is a plus
- Experience with hardware communication in C#, and embedded development in C++
- Experience in software testing methodologies
- Preferably experience in software development in regulated environments (e.g. semiconductor, medical, automotive)
- Experience with Git, CMake, and Linux/Yocto is a plus, familiarity with DevOps principles and tools is also a bonus
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving mindset, eager to tackle complex challenges
- Hands-on approach with a passion for building and optimizing technical solutions
- Fluent in English and can communicate your ideas clearly and effectively. Proficiency in German is an advantage
