Global Precision Products in Willoughby, OH. a precsision machining manufacturer serving the aerospace industry, is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer/Operator to join our Quality Team.
This position is ideal for an experienced metrology professional who can independently program, set up, validate, troubleshoot, and operate CMM equipment for complex precision-machined components.

- Develop and modify CMM programs from engineering drawings and authorized CAD models.
- Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T requirements, including datums, position, profile, runout, form, orientation, and material condition modifiers.
- Establish CMM alignments, datum reference frames, probing strategies, fixtures, measurement paths, and inspection methods.
- Set up and qualify probes, fixtures, and part configurations.
- Validate new and revised programs fro accuracy, repeatability, and reliable measurement results.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and first-article inspections.
- Troubleshoot measurement differences involving alignment, fixturing, probing, temperature, surface conditions, software evaluation, and manufacturing variation.
- Use precision inspection equipment including micrometers, indicators, height gages, bore gages, and thread gages.
- Prepare accurate and traceable dimensional inspection reports.
- Support AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), PPAP documentation, Net-Inspect, and other customer inspection requirements.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to provide clear dimensional feedback and resolve inspection issues.
- Maintain CMM program revision control, calibration requirements, Inspection documentation, and quality records.
- Support continuous improvement, measurement system analysis, Gage R&R, SPC, audits, and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Approximately 5 years of precision inspection/CMM experience, including at least 3 years of independent CMM programming and troubleshooting, or equivalent demonstrated technical experiences.
- Strong blueprint reading and advanced GD&T knowledge.
- Ability to independently create and prove out CMM programs rather than only koperate existing programs.
- Strong understanding of CMM alignments, probing, fixturing, measurement error, repeatability, and inspection methodology.
- Experience using precision hand-measuring equipment.
- Ability to identify and properly document nonconforming product.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent technical experience.

- Zeiss CMM and CALYPSO programming experience
- Aerospace or other high-precision manufacturing experience

What Success Looks Like:
The successful candidate will be able to independently take an unfamiliar precision-machined part from drawing review through inspection planning, fixturing, CMM programming, program validation, dimensional inspection, troubleshooting, and final reporting.
