Global Events Specialist

Reporting to: Global Head of Events, based in the Netherlands

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-driven and proactive Global Events Specialist to join the Global Events team. This role will support the planning, coordination and execution of Unit4-owned events, including customer events, internal events, roadshows and strategic global event initiatives. Working as part of a small global team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality event experiences by coordinating assigned workstreams, maintaining project plans and timelines, supporting supplier and stakeholder communications, and helping ensure events are delivered on time, on brand and within budget.

Working as part of the Global Events Centre of Excellence, you will help drive consistency, process improvement, knowledge sharing and best practices across regions while supporting the continued growth and maturity of Unit4's global events program.

What You Will Do

Support and Coordinate Unit4-Owned Events

• Support the planning and execution of Unit4 customer events, internal events, roadshows and strategic global event initiatives for assigned events or workstreams.
• Coordinate project plans, timelines, task trackers, budgets, suppliers and stakeholder communications using agreed event processes and templates.
• Support venue sourcing, supplier coordination, procurement administration and contract review processes, escalating commercial or contractual decisions where needed.
• Coordinate event branding, signage, production, AV, registration experiences and onsite logistics in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Support agenda development, speaker coordination, customer showcase planning and engagement activities.
• Help deliver strong onsite event experiences through detailed preparation, operational coordination and clear issue escalation.
• Support post-event reporting, attendee feedback collection, lessons learned and event performance tracking.

Support Third-Party Events and Sponsorships

• Partner with Field Marketing teams to support selected third-party conferences, trade shows and sponsorships.
• Assist with booth logistics, branding, lead capture readiness, supplier coordination and onsite support where required.
• Support event activation plans, attendee engagement activities and post-event lead management follow-up.
• Help ensure third-party events align with Unit4 brand standards, event processes and operational best practices.

Contribute as Part of One Global Events Team

• Collaborate within the global team to support event delivery across regions and balance team workload.
• Share learnings, supplier insights, event templates and process improvements with the wider Global Events team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of event processes, reporting, templates and operational standards.

• 2+ years of experience in events, event marketing, marketing operations or project coordination, ideally within a B2B software or technology environment.
• Experience supporting customer events, trade shows, conferences or roadshows from planning through delivery.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders and deadlines.
• Experience working in a global or matrixed marketing organization, following shared processes and collaborating across regions.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset and ability to keep event logistics organized.
• Familiarity with event platforms and marketing tools such as Cvent, Dynamics, Marketo, Asana and Microsoft Office, or similar tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, while knowing when to escalate risks, decisions or blockers.
• Willingness to travel when required and support events outside standard working hours where needed.
