Anticipated Time Commitments:
1. Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: 6 hrs a week
2. Participating in meetings/training: ASP will have monthly team meetings unless immediate concerns or event planning emerges. One-on-one meetings with the director depend on how fast the listed role and director can coordinate schedules.
Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Promote awareness, communication, provide resource assistance to and public relations between parents, community partner agencies, and other public and non-public agencies regarding behavior and other community support services.
2. Acts as a resource and assists in development of appropriate supplementary materials and activities to meet individual needs.
3. Maintain public image and control the distribution of information on the program’s behalf.
4. Direct the development and editing of various publications, including news releases, feature articles, news stories, postings, reports, and other communications which highlight the goals, objectives, policies, programs, activities and accomplishments of the ASP program, its students, and staff.
5. Assist with maintaining files on publications and news release; develop and maintain databases for community contacts using a variety of software applications.
6. Responsible for and participates in the creation and designing of graphic print materials, flyers, notices, newsletters and other publications using desktop publishing software, coordinating with publications staff for production, proofing, and distributing materials to community organizers in the most
efficient and effective manner.
7. Monitors and reviews messaging, postings and tweets in conjunction with the Media and Marketing team; removes or tracks inappropriate social media messaging, photos, and videos from ASP media platforms and communications.
