Associate Congregational Care Pastor
The associate congregational care pastor is responsible for providing support and care to the members of our congregation. This person will work closely with the Congregational Care Pastor to ensure that the spiritual and emotional needs of our church community are met.

Anticipated Time Commitments
1. Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: five hours a week
2. Participating in meetings/training: one hour a month
Responsibilities/Duties
1. Assist in providing pastoral care to individuals and families in times of crisis, grief, or other challenging situations.
2. Coordinate and facilitate support groups for various needs within the congregation.
3. Conduct hospital visits, home visits, and nursing home visits regularly.
4. Provide counseling and guidance to individuals seeking spiritual support.
5. Collaborate with other ministry teams to address the holistic needs of our church community
6. Pray for and with church members experiencing hardships or needing to make decisions.
7. Establish a support group for family members of the terminally ill.
8. Seek assistance for and offer support to the chronically ill.
9. Visit and offer emotional/spiritual support to grieving members.
6. Support the congregational care pastor with monitoring and maintaining a chain of volunteers who will provide emotional, spiritual and physical help to the needy in the congregation: such as, prepare and deliver food on short-term basis, visit and pray with ill or grieving members, provide transportation, etc.
7. Aid the congregational care pastor with notifying the pastor of special needs and report on those who are sick, hospitalized, experiencing financial difficulty, etc.
8. Remain in contact with prayer-group leaders regarding special prayer needs.
9. Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information or personal matters
10. Assist with providing emotional and spiritual support to the unemployed. Seek help from the church for financial needs, if necessary, with confidentiality.
11. Coordinate with congregational care pastor regarding the committee and disbursement of benevolence funds.
