Security Team Member

The security team member is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the church’s property, staff, congregants, and visitors. This includes monitoring facilities, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.

Length of Service Commitment

One year minimum

Anticipated Time Commitments:

1.    Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: Patrol duties, emergency drills, and training preparation (e.g., 4-6 hours/week). Special event security assignments as needed (e.g., 2-4 hours/week).

2.    Participating in meetings/training: As required

Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Conduct regular patrols of church property, ensuring all areas are secure.

2. Monitor security cameras and surveillance equipment during church services and events.

3. Respond to security-related incidents, including emergencies, medical situations, and disturbances

4. Provide assistance with crowd control during large events or services to ensure a peaceful environment.

5. Document incidents and provide reports to the Security Team Lead or Church Administrator as necessary.
