    Job description

    The young men of valor director is responsible for creating and supporting a spiritual mentoring program to train and discipline young men in the areas of faith, leadership, biblical principles and education.

    Length of Service Commitment

    One Year

    Anticipated Time Commitments:

    1.     Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: 4 hours a month

    2.     Participating in meetings/training: 2-4 hours a month

    Responsibilities/Duties:

    1. Be motivated and creative with a gift of Teaching,
    2. Prepare and/or create and develop a curriculum specific to spiritual growth, empowering, equipping life skills, etc.
    3. Teach modules on your plans for facilitating the curriculum.
    4. Develop educational, engaging, and empowering activities that complement the curriculum or lesson.
    5. Be on-time and prepared and ready to receive your youth on your scheduled/assigned day to teach
    6. Make sure YMOV Volunteer Team have been well communicated to curriculum and activities for YMOV.
    7. Attend Group Meetings, Conference Calls, etc. as it relates to your specific Team, to ensure proper communication.
    8. Attend the Ablaze monthly meeting.
    9. Respond to classroom issues and offer guidance.
    10. Ensure that your assigned classroom is clean and presentable.
    11. Assist the youth with assignments and activities.
    12. Record Attendance.
    13. Must be able to exercise good judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality of records and information.
    14. Must be collaborative and an effective team member and team builder.

    Other Responsibilities Include:

    1. Have an open availability (Your Specific Assignment to Teach – 1st Wednesday of every month).
    2. It is the responsibility of the YMOV Director to make sure there is proper coverage for all sessions/activities.
    3. The YMOV Director should inform the Youth Pastor(s) when they are scheduled out or if an emergency arises and they cannot be in attendance.
    4. YMOV Director is required to attend all Staff Meetings and Scheduled Youth Events, unless advanced notice has been given. (Emergencies are exempt)
    5. Maintaining communication within the Youth Ministry via text, email, GroupMe, etc.
